Posted by Lars Pedersen on November 19, 2010 at 9:15 amWhat is the most common color space used in post production/motion graphics and what is the common workflow to ensure that the color stays the same as the client wants (etc a .psd file with source materiale)??

This depends on your target display medium. For HDTV, use Rec. 709. For NTSC, use SDTV NTSC. For PAL, use SDTV PAL. For digital cinema, either P3 or XYZ.

Set your working space as above in Project Settings to enable color management in After Effects. Assuming the PSD file is tagged with a color profile, AE will handle the color management for you seamlessly in the background.
