  • Color loss on text when rendering….but why????

    Dear Final Cutters,

I am losing color on text with glow and color-correction effects on it when I render. The footage is QuickTime, Integer (Little Endian) Timecode, Apple Intermediate Codec. Is there something to do with rendering text at this setting which would cause the colors to lose quality and intensity on text?

Not familiar with AIC, but perhaps you should try changing the order of the filters on the clips.

    Have a wonderful day.

I have a similar thing, in that I was adding some colour to a text/glow. The colour disappears on render, and it doesn’t reappear when the project is rendered out as a QT.
However, it DOES come back if I use Compressor to create an mpg2 for authoring a DVD.

If I didn’t find this funny, I’d just go to the pub and get smashed.

The AIC is highly compressed 420/YUV codec.
Try withe any 422 codec. At least DV50.
    Cheers,
