September 22, 2011 at 11:46 pmI’ve watched these and they are amazing. Thanks Denver! You helped me really figure out this color board after coming from Apple Color!
Would love to see something in the future go over some advanced techniques and best practices… or maybe something that deals with how to take flat looking footage and make it look great – just some thoughts!

September 23, 2011 at 1:28 amHi Denver,
Great tutorials and I do have a question.
I notice you use the global puck to set Exposure. I understand you’re reasoning but my concern is that when working with a codec like AVCHD that in some cases such global change might reveal the “fragile” nature of the codec (which is heavily compressed and 4:2:0).Wouldn’t it be better with some codecs such as AVCHD to just adjust the appropriate range (mids/gamma) so as not to cause potential artifacts in the shadows and highlights by pushing them farther than needed and bringing them back? Or maybe it all just ends up in the same place as long as you pull things back if you see artifacts… all the more reason this does need to go to a good calibrated monitor.

September 23, 2011 at 5:13 amHi Denver,
Great set of tutorials to learn about the FCP X color board. I watched them when you released them a couple of months ago.
But what is the connection with these tutorials and Magic Bullet Looks 2 ?
Magic Bullet Mojo is compatible with FCP X but to my knowledge MBL 2 is not yet available for FCP X.
But maybe you know something we don’t.
Thanks

September 23, 2011 at 5:13 pmThat’s a shame Denver.
I thought you had the inside info on an imminent MBL 2 – FCP X release date.
I’m sure this will happen soon.
Thank’s again for your really clear tutorials.
