  • Color grading a DNG sequence in Premiere Pro CC

Now I can import a DNG sequence in premiere pro – great!

But what is the best way to color grad the DNG sequence?
I thought Premiere could take advantage of the lossless DNG format like Photoshop with Camera RAW, but it does not seem so.

I have tried to color correct in Adobe Bridge but the way I have figured it out, I need to save a hole new image sequence after my changes in Camera RAW?

What I am looking for is to use the Camera RAW funtion so I can go back to my DNG sequence and change some settings without losing image quality – one of the great things with the DNG format.

    Any suggestions?

[Martin Baun] “But what is the best way to color grad the DNG sequence?”

A dedicated grading software like Resolve or Speedgrade.

But does Speedgrade make use of Camera RAW or some other function that take advantage of the loseless DNG format, so I dont “damage” my video even how many times I correct shadows, contrast, ect.?

Color grading is a non-destructive process.
