color gels

Any reccomendations for a color gel for my light? There’s like a lot of options out there and I can’t decide so I need your help! I’m looking for a gel under $50.

April 12, 2011 at 3:33 amI am a fan of the Rosco packs, like their “Jungle Book”, which pre-selects the most commonly needed correction gels for typical shooting conditions…
Not a gel, but I also suggest some diffusion material, like Toughspun or opal tough frost or Rolux.
You weren’t very detailed in your request so that’s the best I can offer for now…

April 14, 2011 at 5:33 amThose color gels are nice to have if the light is meant to splash a wall. To light people and scenes, I think you want to start out with something more prosaic and to the point: a color correction kit like this:
