Has anyone seen latest Spike Lee’s film “Inside man”?

They used a very interesting color effect for the hostages interrogations.

Any idea on how to get a similar effect using Avid?

The color was very saturated, and over exposed. Play with the brightest areas. Also, i seem to remember it had a bit of a green/blue tint. Unfortunetly for us, all those color effects were shot like that, not added later.

I am not so sure it was a shot effect and not a post effect.

Of course it might have been a combination of both, but I am more inclined to being a post effect.

The green was probably something added in color correction, but the most important part for me was the blacks and grays. To me it looked more like a B & W image with color added on it. Almost like a dream.

Perhaps there’s been some “American Cinematographer” article about it, is there?
