    Hey there,

I’m running Photoshop CS on my Intel Macbook Pro. I’ve had this setup since late 2006 and never had a problem until today.

I’ll start a new project (5.5 in x 8.5 in, 300, CMYK, Square Pixels), and then when I go to select a color, the color dropper icon pops up, but it won’t bring up my color palette, and then I’m unable to do anything else in the program. Menu items are all grayed out, and my icon stays as the dropper. I’ll right click the icon in my dock and tell it to quit (won’t give me the option to force quit there) but it won’t quit. So then I have to go to the Apple dropdown menu in the top left to force quit the damn thing.

I tried trashing the preferences but that didn’t do anything to fix it. I’ve tried opening old projects to see if it would let me do anything and the same issue happens. Do I need to just re-install? Please help! I’m on a deadline!
