Hey guys, I was wonderring how could I simulate a white (or any color for that matter) diffusion in adobe after effects, preferably a diffusion similar to magic bullet’s white/black diffusion.

    Thanks in advance.

P.S. I thought about luma keying the brighter whites, then blurring them, and finally compositing them with the original footage, but it didn’t come out at all.

Did you try duping the layer, blurring the upper layer, then setting its transfer mode to add or screen?

Yeah I thought of that too, it just brightens the layer.

Thanks anyways though, any other tips from you expects ? 🙂

Try applying (and adjusting) curves to the upper layer and adjusting the opacity and blur of the upper layer.
