    I have CC SD video in FCP is there any difference to CC HD footage. Black levels, white levels, scopes etc.

    Not really. Black IRE is 0 as it is a digital format…White is still 100.

    Black is generally 0 in HD for delivery, whites are still 100, though I’m doing work right now for a European network where -3 is acceptable in the blacks.

    It’s in the color space that you have a TON more room to play with. Especially nice rich colors like reds and yellows. If you CC something in SD you’re going to notice the colors look very flat and subdued in HD. I find that I can really push the color space in HD and you need a true HD monitor to view what you’re doing or it just won’t be CC’d correctly.
