Color correction. Plugin as Lightroom?

There are many color correction filters right inside Premiere, and there innumerable plugins and apps available too. However, the 3-way Color Corrector is pretty much the standard for video, and you really should learn it rather than using the still image tools you’re more familiar with, because once you learn the 3-way CC you’ll be equipped to use just about any video color corrector.

FYI, there are litterally hundreds of tutorials on YouTube you can use to master the 3-way CC filter and the other video CC filters as well.

BTW, before you complain that one filter can’t do everything you asked for, the 3-way CC filter can do ALL of it.

I would encourage you to learn how to use SpeedGrade. A lot of what you are looking for is there. I’m not a fan of Premiere’s 3-way and find that Colorista II and FilmConvert both give you better controls as 3-way plug-ins within Premiere Pro. They are a separate purchase, though.

While I certainly agree with Oliver that the Speedgrade app is vastly superior to the 3-way CC filter, learning to use the 3-way filter is still a very good idea for any person just learning the basics of video CC, since everything master with it will apply to the more complicated apps and plugins, and because mastering it will teach you the language of video color correction.

Colortista, though you have to buy it, is also a good choice, because at its heart is a good 3-way color corrector that is superior to the 3-way filter in Premiere, and it also has really easy power windows, which are very handy for anyone wanting to do a professional job of correction and grading.
