I’m looking to do some interesting stuff with colours in a corporate video I’m cutting. Just wondering the easiest way to keep the subject (in this case a big truck) in colour while I make everything else in the frame black and white. I’ve seen this done many times… namely the pleasantville effect… I have shake, motion, color too… just wondering if anyone has done this and can save me valuable time.

Make a search in Googles: Pleasantville effect and you will find a dozen of articles explaining the technic step by step. there are at least a couple for FC.

I’ve seen many of them inside FCP and worked with it myself… but can never quite get a great look (especially if there are other similar colours in the frame) I’ve had better success with After Effects personally… just thought color or shake might offer something better…
