    Hi,

Im sure this is a fairly basic request but I need help color correcting multiple clips within my timeline.

All of the clips on my timeline are identical so im wondering if I can find my ideal color correction for one of the clips and then apply the same correction to all of my clips?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Hi James,
If the correction works in multiple clips, why to waist time correcting one by one?

    James,

Color correct one shot, then right click and copy that clip, then select all the other clips and right click and choose Paste Attributes, and check the filters box, then hit okay. That applies the filter to all other clips. Of course, if you have other filters applied that will copy them as well, so you need to figure out an alternative method, such as saving the CC as a favorite, then copying that to the other clips.

An alternative is to color correct the first shot.

Then select the Filters Tab in the Viewer.

Drag the Color Correction filter from there onto the other shots.

If you select all the shots, it will apply the filter to all the selected shots when you drag and drop.

And, there is yet another alternative, which is to click on the filters tab, copy just the filter you want from the list of filters that you might have applied, and then copy that to all selected clips.

The fact that there are many different ways to accomplish things in FCP is one of the great things about it.
