Double-click the clip to select it, then apply the color correction tools to it.

Are you dragging an icon onto the clip, or are you going to the top menu after highlightng, and selecting from the drop-downs:
    EFFECTS> VIDEO FILTERS> COLOR CORRECTION> your choice

    ?

Are you in FCP 7 or are you in X?

I’m working in FCP 7 and I’ve tried both ways, dragging the icon into the clip and the top menu thing.
Whenever I try to intervene, and perform any command in the effect, it doesn’t apply.

Double click the clip on the time-line and click the “Effects” tab on the viewer.
    Make your changes there.

Hey Rafael! Once upon a time someone made mention of two filters to be applied in FCP to make the project broadcast safe, since the Broadcast Safe filter doesn’t do the whole job. Was that you? 🙂 Do you happen to remember which filters they were and what the settings were?

    THANKS!
