  • Color correction different in SD/HD?

I am finishing up color correction on a 16 mm feature in uncompressed 10 bit 4:2:2 1080. WE are quite happy with the look in HD, on the calibrated HD monitor, but every time I make DVDs, the color gets hyper saturated, whether on the SD monitor, or the computer screen or anywhere. Faces are redder in particular.
Is it common to do a second color correction for standard def? Or is there something I am forgetting in the MPEG export process?

    thanks
