Color Correction and possible plug ins
Hey everyone,
Well, our film has now made it’s way to it’s final step: color correction. I edited the film, but I’m leaving a lot of the color correction operations up to my production designer as he’s proved to have a bit of a better eye than me. That being said, we’ll still be working closely on it.
We’re working with Sony Vegas 8.0 and 8.1. It’s running on a Vista computer. He continues to ask me if there are any sort of filters that can plugged in to Vegas such as and especially a pro-mist or some sort of diffusion. Does anyone know of anything that may help? Our budget is bottoming out so there is really not that can be spent here. We’re just looking for a simple and cheap Windows plug in that can do the job of a pro-mist.

https://www.tiffen.com/promist.htmFor my needs I am lucky to have bought the “upgrade” for Magic Bullet Looks. It is set as a Plugin for VEgas and works in VP9a. MBL comes with a great set of Diffusion variables:
https://www.redgiantsoftware.com/products/all/magic-bullet-looks/Not quite diffusion, but you could get close with Vegas Pro “Glow” and some additional compositing – not quite the same I know. But as they are IN Vegas already they are for free!
