Activity Forums VEGAS Pro Color Correction Advice needed

That’s really tough. It’s kinda beyond Colour Correction.

Normally I’d go with one or more of the following: Masking, Colour Matching, Duping and Masking, 2nd Colour Corrector and finally, if I had it, some type of motion tracking of that area. Does any of your Boris options have it? There’s just so much you’d have to do with straight Sony Vegas FXing that you’d need to call up something special to do it. I even thought of a faint bluring of the area or even a soft glow . . VP12 now allows us to restrict an FX to a Masked area, which is useful, but here would be a massive amount of work. But maybe you want to keep the reality of the piece?

    That’s really tough…..

Apart from the fact that I like your clip and would not make any changes to the lips, If I would like to to that, I would use Red Giants Colorista 2, which has a fantastic secondary color corrector. In my hands its much better then what I can get with Vegas Pro or Boris Red.

Building on Theo recommendation, If you have Magic Bullet looks,
you can do wonders using Colorista 2 (Built into looks) along with
some tweaking using Cosmo (excellent in smoothing skin tones
    and removing blemishes)
    .

I like it the way it is. It’s realistic. People sweat under floods.

Its not a matter of people sweating under flood lights, Nothing is
wrong with that if you want that look, Buy its the situation if one
    wants to minimize the effect.
Since you have NewblueFX, Try Color Fixer Pro and Skin Touch up,
    they can help a bit.

Thank you for all the input. I will play with it and see what I can come up with. Luckily I have a friend who is a world class colorist so he might fix it up for me.

Here is what I came up with tweaking Brightness and Contrast

I might make for some glow, possibly soft focus, and maybe use color curves to slightly bring down the highlights that her sweat causes.

I was going to suggest a soft glow as well. You could also try a black and white filter or try a sepia tone … .
