Any idea why if I drop a CC effect on a clip it automatically drops it
    on ALL clips.

So for instance. Say I have 50 clips in my SEQ I drop in on shot 35 I go back later and they ALL have the cc effects on them. However clip 35 has independent parameters.

This has happened to my now on two different machines at two different studios.

both the latest version of FCP 6.

    Bug???

    Anyone else experience this.

That is not a common FCP issue Jack. The only two things that come to mind are:

    1) It’s possible that you need to trash your preferences
    2) You were in a hurry and had all the video on timeline selected when you dragged and dropped the CC filter.

Believe me I thought about #2 hurry issue. But I have seen it happen in two places now. And it is easy to tell what is and is not selected. I guess the common denominator is me though ;0.

But something else is going on. hmmmm. It is inconsistent. I will try the prefs.

    thanks
