Color control surface
Hi,
I currently use FCP5 and also Final Touch 2.5.1. I use the J.L. Cooper MCS-3000 with the MCS -Spectrum joyball controllers. It all works…most of the time.
I was wondering will the control surfaces interface with the new version of Final Cut Studio and most importantly Color? I’ve used Final Touch with a mouse, once, total ballache.
If anyone is out at NAB and could pose the question, or could shed some light on this matter I would be very grateful.Enge

All indications are yes, the control panels will work. Color is just Final Touch with a new name, nothing I can see has changed except for the addition of the curves and 3D color analyzer.

I have to admit I’ve stayed away from the Silicon Color forum since Apple bought them, it was getting a bit quiet, now I know it’s being given a new lease of life…Enge

Go to this page and then scroll down towards the bottom on the right hand side. There’s a little section about third party controllers.
Clicking on the Tangent Devices one is kind of funny though.
