I created a short animation for a website I am doing. I am new to after effects but when I preview the movie in after effects it is great. But when I export it and preview, there is a pick hue when the letters fade in. I have preserved rgb and done everyting I know to do. And hints?

    Hi Rahjee,

Sounds like a compression issue. Try rendering with the compression set to low (or quality to high) and see if you still get the same issue.

Are you using color management? If so, one thing to be aware of is that colors will be converted to sRGB on output when you create a SWF file from After Effects. I don’t know if this explains your issue, since I can’t see what you’re seeing, but it is the one “gotcha” that I know of with regard to colors output to SWF.

There’s a whole section on getting consistent color when exporting to SWF in the “Color management workflow in After Effects CS4” paper.

I had the same problem today. It ended up being that a blending mode was being used – Color Overlay. I was able to solve the problem by pre-composing the comp and then exporting to SWF. Poof! Problem solved.
