Hi, I’m encoding a DV QT files to wmv using Compressor2 and flip4mac HD. Settings are 2 pass vbr and a 360×240 size. Finished product looks great except for a green ghosting on parts of the image.

    G5 dual 2G
    10.4.6
    QT 7.1.1
    WMV player 2.1.0.33
    Compressor 2.0.1

Went to the Telestream website and this is a known issue with 2 pass VBR. CBR is fine.

yup, pretty sad they can’t figure this out. it has been months with this issue. Maybe they are hoping someone will buy them out and won’t have to fix it….

Flip4mac get bought out? I highly doubt it. They are a division of Telestream, who just purchased Popwire so that they could strengthen their mac portfolio. I highly expect when they release an update that combines the efforts of Popwire and F4M, issue like this will have been addressed.

Also, why 360×240? If you have 720×480 source, it’s either 4:3 or 16:9, so you probably should be encoding at 320×240 or 432×240.
