    Hello all,

I am going to be embarking on a project where I need balloons to rise and bump off each other, they will probably need to bounce in a kiddy style as well.

I don’t know how I am going to do this though so a gentle nudge in the right direction would be appreciated!

    The criteria:
Balloons must collide, and ideally be able to burst, the only way i know of doing this at present is to use clothilde?
If I generate them as particles with gravity wind turbulence etc. will they collide? And will I be able to make them collide with another object which is not a particle?
Would mograph 2’s solid body be of any use?

Any help / tutorials on collision & particles would be greatly appreciated!

    Many thanks,

    Stu

Here is a start file using Thinking Particles. I just set up a preset. https://rootvisuals.blogspot.com/2010/05/thinking-particles.html

The pop is another step. Its just a matter of setting up a group change condition with a trigger. If this is what your looking for I can help you there too.

If you go the cloth route…All the balloons have to be one object. I really like the bounce then since it has such nice contact. The TP contact is really linear… At least for me it is.
