Hi, a new user here with cinema 4d and have started using the rigid body tag for some basic dynamics.
My question for the experts is this. I would like something along the lines of 2 helmets in a scene.
have them stable, then collide with each other and bounce back into position. I’ve tried using
keyframes with the force simulation to no avail. thanks in advance.

just like in reality where getting two objects to bounce off each other (if they were ‘stable’ how do they hit each other?) and then return to where they are might be possible but practically impossible you’ll have to cheat likely. More info is needed, what is happening? Why do the helmet hit each other? Are they still then move toward each other and you want the magical bounce back to the starting point?

    Hi,

    I hope I understand correctly.

    Maybe give them initial velocity?
You can do this under the dynamics tab of rigid body, by checking “custom initial velocity” and setting a value
