Collecting files in After Effects
Hello All,
I’m currently working in After Effects 7.0 and I’m needing to collect files. I know how to do this for a single project file, but I have incremented and saved multiple versions of the same project and they all pretty much use the same assets as the previous version (with a few exceptions). I’m needing to collect the assets for all of these different versions but storage space is limited.
My initial thought was to create one master project and import all of the other projects that I’m wanting to collect into the master project and then “Collect Files” for the master project.
So my question is since the projects I’m collecting files for often use the same assets, will this result in multiple copies of the same assets in the final collected folder? If so, is there a way to have it only copy over the required assets once and have the other imported projects access these assets without having to reconnect or replace the assets?
