I’ve just used ‘collect files’ to archive a project, but when I open the new project a window appears stating ‘After Effects error: missing data in file’ and the project won’t open. I’ve actually been really dumb here and deleted the original file, so if anyone can think of a way to sort this out you’d be life saver. I’ve got back ups but they’re not as up to date as the file I ‘collected’, totally stupid I know, but if anyone can help I’d really appreciate it.

    Thanks

did you try importing the project into another one rather than opening it?

Yeah, I tried it, but the same message comes up and an empty folder appears in the project window. I’ve actually re done the work now but if anyone out there knows what it might be it would be useful to know for future refernece.

    Thanks for the response,

    Simon
