I’m interested in adding some collapsible backgrounds to my interview kit. I use muslin backgrounds quite a lot, but would like to have the option of something that can be deployed a little more quickly. (Nino’s terrific site, efplighting.com, has been very helpful.)

When I looked for a specific background I came up with these questions:

Best all-around size for van travel? Best for air shipment?
Which fabric, to provide a non-wrinkled look? (I travel with an HDV camera with lots more depth of focus than I’d like.)
Any specific quality rec’s as far as manufacturer?

Thanks for any insights you might have to offer.

Bob, I recommend the Denny backgrounds https://www.dennymfg.com/ they have the most extensive line and I also believe that they have the largest ones available, 6×9

The background stretches on its own flex frame making wrinkles disappears. It folds to and apx. 30″ round. I never travel with the backgrounds so I don’t have any idea on protecting it. I imagine a large portfolio case would do it.
