Our group is going to have to split a project and I’m wondering the best way to structure it. I was hoping that imported projects would update changes automatically the same way imported footage does. But in my testing that does not appear to be so. Any suggestions to make it easier or is it just one coordinator reimporting and replacing edited assets.?

my only suggestion is to set up a “template” comp.

group footage into folders and subfolders and also do the same for comps.

i read this is how the Orphanage does ALL their projects. The guy said he spends a lot of time organizing/structuring the template comp, so that the workflow does well.

this way, everyone will be on the same page. if one person imports footage into a folder, everyone should….

also, maybe somehow make a digital/printed text/bracket format, that everyone can update and send to show what comps they put into what folders, etc.

    HOPE THIS HELPS 🙂

    Thanks.

    You’re confirming what I thought.
