Guys I have a snag…. there are a few important mpegs that my Adobe Premiere 2.0 won’t play. However, windows media player 11 and realplayer can handle them without a problem. Also some mp3’s won’t play. How can I “safely” bring Adobe Premiere up to speed?

How do I convert to MS-DV AVI Type2? I have the latest version of videoredo and that doesn’t give me the option. I tried to get VirtualDub to Run but it has a bunch of missing DLL issues. Is there another solution/tool that you know of to get a mpeg coverted to MS-DV AVI Type 2

Videoredo is a mpeg editor, why don’t you use it to work your video, or use a more mpeg friendly program like Premiere Elements or Ulead’s software.

Everything that I have is in Adobe Premiere.. I use it for animation, editing, etc….. I’ve spent much time learning and using the power that it has… The strange thing is that just recently Adobe stopped playing mpgs that it used to play without problem. Now I get this Media Pending error that won’t go away.

Is this a codec issue? If so then how can I figure out which codec this file needs to make Adobe happy the way it used to be?

If Premiere isn’t doing something it used to do try reseting the Plug-in Cache file(preference file in older versionsz) by holding down the shift key when starting Ppro and holding it down till the project screen loads, check for any custom settings in Edit-> Preferences before doing this as some may need to be redone.
