    Hi

Below listed are some of the Codecs. I haven’t worked on these. From the beginning I have used only DNxHD/DNxHR Codecs. I would like to know much more on these Codecs. Also like to know how will it help in the current workflow.
Any link which describe all these will be very helpful.

    Thanks
    Vipin

Wikipedia is a good place to look. Look up each codec and read up on them.

Sorry, don’t know what you are looking for as an answer.

    Hi Shane,

    In 8:1 m what is the m?
Also in 15:1s what is the s?

What is this m and s means?

m stands for multicam. That (standard def) Avid Meridien codec flavor is optimized for multistream playback.
s stands for single field. Meaning that it stores only one field of each frame. This is a storage space saving flavor of the Avid Meridien codec (also Standard Definition only).

P.S.: many of the codecs on this list are not very relevant in modern workflows, as they are SD codecs, and some are only available in Progressive projects, some only in interlaced projects.
DV25 (420 and 411) and DV50 are Standard Def, as are all the ones named x:1.
