I have a .MOV file I need to put to DVD for a film festival. I made the video in FCP, however I cannot find my master copy. I no longer have access to a Mac with FCP, so I am trying to create a DVD on my Adobe suite. However, when I try to import the .MOV, it tells me it is missing the codec. What codecs do I need to get this to work and where can I get them?

.MOV is just a header. The codec is internal. For example it could be a quicktime .MOV file with the “animation” codec.

Open the file up in quick time and click on window/show movie inspector. What you see in there under format??
