so i was using 3ivx for my project but the trial version has run out of time. i was wondering if anyone knows of another codec that would allow me to take avi video and use it. i tried both divx and xvid and neither one works.

Use it for what? There are plenty of export options other than .avi that are better for most purposes.

well im making a star wars movie where i take different scenes from the movies and link them up with metallica music. the 3ivx codec seems to be the only one that works with my video files that are avi and 2 GB big. the divx and xvid codecs both don’t work. anyway i was able to do most of the project with the 3ivx codec but to check the exporting feature and to see how it would turn out i made a short demo. the quality of the video was way worse then the original video. are there any suggestions how i should export the video to get it back to the original video quality?
