    Hello,
    I work on G5 2.5 GB Ram, Dual 2.5, Running FCP 4.5HD.

Just keen to know what r the capturing setting which has respective codecs. I feel the suspect for which I get jittering during speed change.

Is it DV 48Khz is apple codec, and Targa cine Wave YUV is Cinewave codec, Cud any one please help to sort this confusion. So If I want to captue SDI then what?

    Regars

    Gracias

All capture settings have codecs. Which codec are you looking for?

Apple has multiple codecs in Final Cut Pro. Third party hardware manufacturers generally add their own as well. To capture SDI, you need a hardware board with an SDI I/O. You then set FCP to capture using that hardware.

Anything that starts “Targa” in the Easy Setups or Sequence Settings or Captur Settings is a CineWave codec. Such as something like “Targa YUV 8bit NTSC” or something like that. It’s been over a year since I last ran my CineWave system.

    Hello,
So shall I assume Whatever is there in the Bracketi.e. Targa YUV (8bit) Balance Pro analogue along with the Targa is also Cinewave codec. Otherwise rest is Apple Codec.

Actualy one of my support engineer told me so.

Please confirm. Thankx for u r response
