I am currently shooting with the Canon 5d mark II. LOVE THIS CAMERA. I had a question. what are the pros and cons of using the Apple AIC codec, vs using the ProRes 422, when it comes to preserving quality. I need to go to one of these, as the h264 that comes out of the camera kills my processers, (and I have a pretty fast rig). Size is not really a worry, but I would like to dump the original and just keep the converted. My biggest concern is which codec preserves the image the best, and is still easy to work with in the timeline.
I noticed that I lose a little color with the AIC. I know I can get this back in post, but I was hoping to get the input of a wizard out there.
    Thanks
    Rex
