    Hi there

I’m working on a HDV conform and grade from a XML file which opens fine on my Powerbook but I can get it to open on my G5 system as it keeps coming up with “Codec not found. You may be using a compression type without the corresponding hardware card.”

Any ideas on how to get this running on my G5?

I shouldn’t need a Hardware Card to work with HDV.

    Many thanks
    Rory

Hey Rory how’s it going. I had this the other day and it turned out to be a bug on my AJA KOna 2 driver. Are you using firewire or do you have an i/o card? Any plans on visiting Toronto soon, are you going top NAB?

One of the recent software upgrades (FCP or QT) blew away the HDV codec for some users. It happened to few folks I know, but not on my own system. You’ll need to get the codec somewhere and install it.
