November 7, 2005 at 12:28 pmSounds like you need to export in Quicktime. It should be on your Avid already, if not it is available at low cost from Apple.

November 7, 2005 at 2:39 pmHello there,
You can download the free avid software (means: no Avid hardware required) codecs from:
https://www.avid.com/onlineSupport/supportcontent.asp?browse=go&productID=0&contentID=3555
On Mac OSX, only the Meridien codecs are supported (no ABVB, no NuVista, no DNxHD)Also, you get the codecs when you install Avid’s FreeDV. Here the Meridien and Avid DV codecs are installed.
A (more elegant?) way to get the stuff into AE could be the commercial AE import plugin from Automatic Duck:
https://www.automaticduck.com/products/piae/Hope this helps, Oliver

November 7, 2005 at 3:28 pmhi again,
maybe you could export the timeline as an image sequence which will work fine in AE.
don’t know what image formats are supported on current versions of MC, though.example (oooooold mac version):

November 7, 2005 at 3:31 pmI’m referring to the “PICT sequence” feature in the dialog box shown in the link above (the article itself shows export to QuickTime).
