Codec-install question

I saw that too = I am using Win 7 64bit on Intel. I ran the 64 bit installer to see what would happen as I am 64 bit, and it installed fine.

To be completely clear on this, did you install the one called “MiscrosoftCodecPack_x86.msi” at all?

Its the _amd64.msi you should install Graham. Don’t mind the “amd”

Nope – I did not even download it – the only one I downloaded was the 64 bit msi, which I installed.

Well, that’s a revelation – and NO mistake!

Installed and working into VP12 B726 like a charm. Some great RAW CR2 stills running along nicely on the Timeline.

AMD created and defined the 64-bit instruction set for “Intel” processors. Some, including me, call it AMD 64. Some call it X64 or x86-64.
