    Hi guys,
Did a search but couldnt find a specific answer that applies to my situation but I need to render out an animation for smooth playback on a laptop @ 1024/768 res.

Any ideas with the best codec to use? I’m using mpeg 4 at the moment but its still very jerky. I need to make it very smooth.

    Thanks in advance

try S. Squeeze (FLV) and place it in flash. Plays pretty smooth for playback like that. Also try to “widescreen” the file so its not full 1024X768, more like 1024X480, will play much better

Assuming you’re talking Windows (you didn’t say), I recommend using AE Windows to render to WMV. Using the “audiences” settings under “options”, you can customize it nicely.

OK will look into getting hold of squeeze. I have heard about this product before.

    Thanks for the advice
