    Does the AJA Kona require the AJA codec to playback via the sdi output? I know many of the black magic cards require the codec for playback. I am looking for a card with SDI output that does not require any certain codec.

    AJA Konas will playback any codec supported in FCP and also a slew of others.

    What codec are you trying to use?
