    Hi,

    I have this cloth simulation,

    c4d cloth sim

I finally got the cloth to behave the way I need it, but there’s a few holes punching through, I tried turning on self repulsion and self collision separately but they completely mess up the rest of the animation.

Can anyone suggest a good method to fix this small holes?

    Thanks in advance,
    D.

doesn’t look like holes, it looks like the cloth is penetrating whatever the cloth is laying on as it spreads out. Is that maybe true?

Yes, I think that’s the case.

I have a cube below with a cloth collider tag. How can I avoid the cloth intersecting with? The whole point of it being a collider is for the cloth to rest on top of it.

    Best,

in the cloth tag’s Expert tab you can try increasing the Sub Sampling value – this will slow things down somewhat but can help if cloth is penetrating between frames because it’s moving so fast and/or you can try increasing the Point EPS (essentially the collision checking distance)

    That helped, thanks.
I’m not very well versed on cloth, so I struggle a lot to make the object move exactly the way I need it. Tons of little tweakings to get it look exactly how I need it.

    Best,
