Closed Captions to Beta SP
Posted by Shayne Metcalfe on September 14, 2007 at 8:49 pmAnyone know how I can get Closed Captioning onto line 21 on a Beta SP tape out of Final Cut Pro or Premiere Pro. The hardware I would use is a Blackmagic Multibridge Pro.

September 17, 2007 at 1:20 pmIt’s often an encoder that will go between your video output and the video input to the Beta deck.
Personally, I’d hire it done; it’s going to be cheaper in the long run.
How are you getting the captioning done? These might help, dunno:

December 12, 2007 at 5:29 pmOkay, I am hiring out the transcription and file creation. Now I have to take that file and put it on the timeline and make it do it’s thing. I had to do this at another house I was at, but it was Avid. It was pretty simply a PIP effect that highlighted line 21. The render was definitely something to do at the end of the day and hope it’s done by morning.
What do I have to do to this CC file once it’s lined up on the timeline?
