Hi all I’m pretty new to creating closed captions in Premiere and I’m running into an issue. The SRT file that was created for us by Rev.com comes in at 720×480 and when I scale to frame size it scales the file up keeping it looking crisp, the only problem is the text has what looks like aliasing all around it.

I’ve exhausted all the solutions I can think of so I then created a brand new caption file in premiere set to 1920×1080 wrote some text in it and it looks the same. Is this just how closed captions work in Premiere? Has anyone had this same issue?

What you have there is a Subtitle File and not a Closed Caption File.
As far as I can remember you need a .mcc CC file for Premiere.

Closed Caption text really doesn’t look all that good and the standard is a black background around white text.
