Hey all- having an issue capturing an SD Beta tape complete with closed captioning encoding. We have a tape with standard closed captioning done at a dub house. We can do it just fine in 2 of our 3 edit rooms, but for some reason I can’t in the third–
    Room 1-
    Mac Pro, OS 10.4.11
    FCP 7.01
    Aja Lhi
    Control Panel 7.5(?)
    Digibeta
Capture thru SDI uncompressed 8-bit 720×486…works fine

    Room 2-
    2005 G5, OS 10.4.11
    FCP 6.06
    Aja LH
    BVW-75
Capture uncompressed 8-bit 720×486 YRB and composite..works fine

    Room 3-
    Mac Pro, OS 10.4.11
    FCP 7.01
    Aja Lse
    BVW-75
    Control Panel v.7
    Same settings as above

Will not work in either YRB or composite. Will not work with DVCAM as well. Even tried looping out of monitor into Aja. I can see the encoding on the clip, it just isn’t being recognized as closed captioning. The only variable I see is an issue with is the Lse card. Any other thing I should be looking for?

    Thanks
    Rick

I am not sure the LSe Supports the CC protocols as that is an older product.
You really need to call tech support to get an answer to this one.
