  Closed-Captioning in QT Player

  I am trying to play a quicktime movie that I made from a movie that has CC. I exported the movie in quicktime player as a iPod video. When I try to open the file in QT player the “show closed-captioning” under view is greyed out. Does anyone know why? My QT version is 7.6.9
