I use M100i XR with a Dual 500 version 10.2.3 and M100 ver 8.1. I am trying for the first time to do closed captioning within M100. I don’t see anything on captioning in the manaual, so here’s the problem. After uploading my program as a small qt.mov, I have received a file back from the captioning company to put on my timeline. Obviously, this will allow me to have captioning on my program without the generation loss and the loss of time sending and receiving the master. My problem is that this 28:30 file has been importing / rendering for 2 hours and is only 1/3 complete. Is this going to work? Also, when I get it imported, do I have to render again on the graphics track?

Let me know if you get this to work as we are moving to a filebased delivery of programs and they will need captioning. Running them off to tape sort of defeats the purpose.
