I have a digiBeta tape that has Closed Captions already and captured it into my timeline on Premier Pro. I then took it into Encore and the caption did not follow. What do I need to do?

MPEG 2 video is 720×480 so CC will not carry over. You need to manually build the CC files yourself in a captioning tool.

Is there a file that I can get from the captioning company that did the original caption that I can drop into Encore CS4? I heard of a filed called “SCC”, maybe?

Yep…thats it. Good thing its possible to get that file….CC construction is not fun (for me anyway) If you have problems its best to post in the Encore forum.
