There is probably an easy answer for this however, I can’t think of one at the moment. I’m trying to create text that visually mimics the degraded look of closed captioning. I have created the text and its proper movement in after effects, but the text is much too clean and pristine. It needs to appear more compressed etc. compared to the hd footage behind it. It’s purpose is not to replace the actual audio with real closed captioning. I only want to mimic the look. It appears to almost have a interlaced/fuzzy/digital bit look which is easy to do to a video file by working in opposite of a deinterlacing technique however, I can’t recreate any of the look to the actual text layers. Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks to all.
