    Hello…

    Happy Friday to you all!

I have commercial spots that are closed captioned. And after I digitize these spots and then play it back out onto the tape..and the closed captioning no longer appears on the spot.

What gives? Does anyone know what I can do to not let closed captioning disappear.

I know that when I used Media 100 in the past, it never took out the closed captioning line out of the tape.

Your suggestions and thoughts are appreciated.

You can search the forum for the subject, plenty of discussion. All depends on your source video material and how the captions are encoded onto it, how you get it into FCP, what you do with it once it’s there and how you get it back out.

If you render anything the caption data gets stripped off.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
