Ah, we’ve advanced from the scrolled text of this morning’s inquiry. It was such a success that my creative partner wants me to sync the text with the audio, capturing the pauses and “ughs” and “ahs”, so that the text follows the rhythm of the spoken words. I can see inserting spaces in the streaming text, but this will be exceedingly slow and tedious. Any smarter solutions?

    Many thanks

Well that’s what I thought. I gave it 75-80/100 for difficulty and suggested that she really needs to want the look!

If you want synced text, it would be better to do it as simple subtitles. Speeding up and slowing down the scroll will look terrible. Scrolling text is already hard to read as is. The viewer will only be looking at the scrolling text, not the image, at that point. Or, as Dave points out, they’ll not want to look at it at all.
