    Hi

I been trying to find the answer,
When i do a closeup shot with my cannon xl2
The picture seems to start jumping and blurs.
Its on a tripod when i zoom out a little it seems to be fine..

    Anyone know why??

    thank you

When you say jumping around, could you be a little more specific?

If it’s only subtle jumping, it could be the autofocus trying to find the correct plan on which to focus. Make sure that’s off.

If the screen is just jumping all over the place and looks pixilated, sort of like a torn DV tape….I had a similar problem with an XL-1 a few years back, the solution was to send it to canon and have them fix it.

    Best of luck

a shot in the dark, but…

if the camera has an image stabilzation feature, try turing it off when you put the camera on a tripod.
