    Hello there,

I’m doing some 2.5D stuff in AE, and have an object casting shadows on a table texture jpeg. It works fine most of the time but if I lay the object very close to the surface of the table at 90 degrees (imagine a sheet of paper laying flat on a table and then being lifted slightly), then she shadows go very ragged. Not just on the edges, but throughout the body of the shadow.

Any idea whats causing this? The shadow is being cast by a point light…

    Many thanks,

    Nico

I’ve had the same problem in the past. The only solution I found was to create a dummy shadow using a copy of the layer.
