    Hello All,

First, I would like to thank you in advance for any advice or suggestions.

I am going to be editing an indie film on Final Cut Pro 7. The problem is, I’m currently working in a third world country with almost no support for anything Mac-based. I have two pretty old Western Digital My Book Hard Drives… I will be using one for all of my footage for this film… but because they are old, and I can’t get a hold of a new drive here, I feel that I need to have an exact clone of my work on the second drive, just in case. Is there any software which is cheap (or free), which I can update daily with my work. I want to be able to switch drives, in case of an emergency without losing anything.

    Thank you again.

    Try Carbon Copy Cloner?

You could use Terminal and RSync at the end of each day. Only copies over what has changed. I’m not any sort of heavy terminal user, I just learned through googling.

    In terminal you type:

rsync -av –progress source drive destination drive
